The Times’ reverberations continue in Albany: Yoga Safety on local NBC affiliate

Benita Zahn is an anchor and health reporter for our local NBC affiliate, WNYT NewsChannel 13. She visited No Limits Yoga Tuesday in Voorheesville (home of the velvet-voiced, highly motivating, and superb instructor Elex DiSanto Scheels, for local Elex fans). Benita’s segment was balanced, not surprisingly, reflecting her genuine warmth (which always engenders a better interview), experience, and expertise (she holds a masters of science degree in bioethics from Albany Medical College).

Erin Svare and Gail Picillo (my friend and inspiration) made such good points in the piece. Gail later brought out the fact that practicing yoga is an excellent way to help prevent sport-related injuries. As a professional volleyball player and Academic Athletic Advisor at Siena College, she knows her stuff!

And because I can’t help myself: Nothing like four seconds on tv to show you that it’s time to get your roots done. Or, more importantly, greatly reduce the use of the word “really.” Really.
